The membership of the Young Eagles is divided into four: young members, active members, supporting members and honorary members.
Young members are 7-18-year-olds or young eagles.
Active members of the Young Eagles are adult youth leaders who recognize the goals of the Young Eagles and through their activities contribute to the achievement of the goals of the organization. The youth leader may also be a member of another structural unit (Defence Leage or Women’s Voluntary Defence Organisation) participating in the educational activities of the young members of the youth organization.
A supporting member of the Young Eagles can be an Estonian or foreign citizen who recognizes the goals of the Young Eagles and contributes to the achievement of the goals of the organization. On the basis of the person’s application, the supporting member is admitted by the head chief of the Young Eagles by his directive, which indicates his responsibilities in the organization.
An honorary member of the Young Eagles is an Estonian or foreign citizen who has outstanding merits before the Young Eagles organization. The honorary member is elected by the Central Assembly of the Young Eagles on the proposal of the Central Board of the Young Eagles. The Honorary Member may participate in the meetings and events of the Young Eagles in an advisory capacity. An honorary member is elected with his or her consent.
